Ancient Fishweir Project installation
The 14th annual Fishweir installation on Boston Common takes place during May and June.
The Ancient Fishweir Project on Boston Common will be installed by students from Boston's Josiah Quincy School.
On June 5, school groups attending Making History Day will participate on-site in dance and music performances by the Wampanoag Nation Singers and Dancers.

Hidden Gardens of Beacon Hill
Annual tour celebrating a long tradition of urban gardening in Boston.
Since its founding in 1928, the Beacon Hill Garden Club has encouraged the love of horticulture and urban gardening. Enjoy multiple garden locations in a historic neighborhood, for a good cause.
Architecture cruises
Step off dry land and head out onto the water to experience Boston like never before!
This tour offers spectacular views of historic and contemporary architecture along Boston Harbor, through the Charles River Locks, and the Charles River basin. The tour includes landmarks such as:
- the Customs House
- the Hancock tower
- the Old North Church, and
- cutting-edge contemporary design by today’s top architects.
These are simply the best waterfront views of Boston and Cambridge!
The tours start on May 28, and take place every Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. Tours depart from Cambridgeside Galleria Mall.

Capturing the Moment
Explore ephemera collections of historic New England.
Examine and delight in advertisements, tickets, programs, menus, invitations, rewards of merit, greeting cards, broadsides, invoices, and trade cataloges, among other items, that shed light on the popular culture and daily life of the region.
The event includes a light reception and optional viewing of collections in Historic New England's Library and Archives.
Registration is required. Friends of the Library and Archives must call to register, 617-994-6678. This event is sponsored by Historic New England.
Coffee Hour, Beacon Hill
The 18th Annual Neighborhood Coffee Hour Series takes place in local parks citywide from April 24 to July 20.
The Neighborhood Coffee Hours give residents a unique opportunity to speak directly with Mayor Walsh about open space and other needs in their neighborhoods.
