Review your energy bill with us so we can see if you’re being charged too much. We can help you understand costs, avoid predatory third-party energy suppliers, and access programs to help you save big.

Home and business upgrades may include upgrading your building’s wiring, electrical panel, or electrical service. Depending on what upgrades you are making to your building and how much electricity you currently use, electrical upgrades may be required before you can install a heat pump, induction stove, electric vehicle charger, etc. in your building.

Electric vehicles (EVs) are powered by batteries that can be charged with electricity. EVs are powered by plugging into an electrical source at your home or at public charging stations and often cost way less to fuel up. They also require less maintenance, meaning fewer expensive trips to the repair shop. These vehicles have no carbon emissions, meaning you don’t have to pay for gas, and driving around will put less pollution in our air.

Heat pumps can heat your building in the winter and cool it in the summer. These devices run on electricity and are far more energy efficient than furnaces or air conditioning, keeping you comfortable while reducing your carbon emissions. You might also save money on your electric bill with a heat pump, too, especially if you’re switching from fuel oil or electric resistance heat!

Heat pump water heaters are the most efficient way to heat water in a home—up to three times more efficient than conventional electric water heaters. They work by extracting heat from the air surrounding the unit to heat water and also provide dehumidification.

Looking to make your home more energy-efficient and reduce utility costs? We can connect you with the HomeWorks Green Loan Program, which offers income-eligible Boston homeowners financial assistance for energy-saving home repairs. This can help you lower your energy costs and improve the overall comfort of your home.

Induction cooktops heat up about 50% faster and are more energy efficient than gas and conventional electric stoves. They also protect you and your family from toxic fumes released from gas and propane cooking that can lead to asthma and cardiovascular disease.

Solar panels, powered by the sun, are an affordable way to lower your energy bills and protect our planet. Using solar panels means burning less oil and gas, which reduces pollution in our communities and slows down global warming.

Solar Panels: You can save on your monthly energy bills by buying or renting rooftop solar panels for your home. By buying solar panels, you can power your home directly. By leasing your solar panels or signing a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA), a Third-Party Owner will install panels at your property with zero upfront costs, and then you buy the electricity generated at a below-market rate to save money. The Third-Party Owner will also be responsible for all maintenance and repairs of the solar panels.

Community Solar: If you rent your home or if rooftop solar isn't an option for you, consider signing up for community solar. When you sign up for community solar, you subscribe to a large solar farm in your area and receive credits on your utility bill for the energy produced by your share of the farm. You purchase these credits from a community solar provider at a discount, and the credits show up on your monthly electric bill, helping to offset your electricity costs. Massachusetts customers typically save 10-20% annually. Signing up is easy and you can cancel without penalty.

Energy bills go up in the winter and summer because of extreme temperatures. Weatherization upgrades, like insulation and air sealing, keep your home comfortable without your heater or air conditioning doing all the work. This lowers your energy bills and carbon emissions in your community, causing less pollution and reducing greenhouse gas emissions that cause global warming.
