Boston celebrates 2017 National Youth Violence Prevention Week with a Youth Peace Rally.

Join in on the fun with special guests and awesome prizes!  Be there to see who wins the “Youth Standing Strong Against Violence” art competitions!

Get Creative!  Boston students – express yourselves! Share your work of art and become part of the solution. All entries must have an anti-violence message and include the “Youth Standing Strong Against Violence” theme.

  • Poster Contest (Grades K-5)
  • Poetry Contest (Grades 6-8)
  • Hip-Hop Video Contest (Grades 9-12)

A collaborative project by the Boston Interagency Committee on Youth Violence Prevention (Boston Police Department, Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office, City of Boston Office of the Mayor, Boston Centers for Youth & Families, Suffolk County Sheriff’s Department, the United States Attorney’s Office for the District of Massachusetts, the Massachusetts Attorney General’s Office, MassHousing, and the Office of the Governor of Massachusetts), and Boston Public Schools, with support from the Boston Police Activities League, JAM’N 94.5, and Roxbury Community College.
