Three parcels to be preserved as green space including continued use for community gardening and public open space. A Community Meeting was held in January 2021, and an RFP issued in September 2021. One proposal was received, and the Edward L. Cooper Community Gardening & Education Center was named developer.

A virtual community meeting was held on January 28, 2021, and support was strong for permanent preservation as public open space. DND expects to issue an RFP for preservation of these parcels by late February.

We will continue taking feedback until Feburary 19, and if support remains strong, we expect to issue a Request for Proposals shortly after that date. An RFP for the parcels was issued on September 27, 2021. One response was received from the Edward L. Cooper Community Gardening & Education Center to preserve the parcels as open space with pathway and accessibility improvements. The Cooper Center was named developer after review of their design.
