Fall Pumpkin Float

Mayor Martin J. Walsh invites you and your family to the Annual Fall Pumpkin Float at the Boston Common Frog Pond.

The event takes place on Friday, October 18, from 5 - 8 p.m. Hundreds of illuminated jack-o’-lanterns will float on the water. Boston Parks and Recreation is also delighted to provide many FREE festive family activities.

Remember to bring an 8-inch or smaller CARVED pumpkin! Watch your lighted pumpkin float on the Frog Pond for a picturesque early evening display. View creatively carved and decorated jack-o’-lanterns from various local organizations.

This FREE, family-friendly event will also include lots of spooky activities and giveaways for all ages. Halloween costumes are encouraged! The event is presented by Parks and Recreation, in partnership with The Skating Club of Boston.
