Stacia Sheputa

Director of Communications and Community Engagement, Mayor's Office of Environment, Energy, and Open Space

Stacia Sheputa is an environmental communications professional who specializes in articulating complex scientific content to diverse audiences. Through her work with the Mayor's Office of Environment, Energy, and Open Space (EEOS), Stacia supports the Cabinet in communicating its missions of enhancing environmental justice and quality of life in Boston by protecting air, water, climate, and land resources, as well as preserving and improving the integrity of Boston's historic resources and open spaces.

Prior to joining the EEOS Cabinet, Stacia worked as the Digital Media Manager for the Mayor’s Office where she produced media materials, including press releases, statements, social media content, and videos. Stacia received a Bachelor’s degree from St. John’s University in Environmental Studies with minors in Psychology and Philosophy. Stacia received a Master’s degree in Environmental Management and Sustainability from St. Edward’s University and L’Universite Catholique de l’Ouest.
