Farmers Markets in Boston
By supporting farmers markets, Boston citizens will have more access to healthy, local food in their neighborhoods. Local farmers will also benefit from an increased customer base.
The Health Division at Inspectional Services administers all permits for farmers markets and vendors.
Before 2014, the Office of Food Access handled these permits so the forms are all still on our website.
You must submit all forms to Inspectional Services. We work together by sharing market manager contact information, and fielding procedural questions. Inspectional Services does not collect the market renewal form. This is because markets do not need to go through the permitting process when returning to the same location each year. Please submit market manager renewal forms to the Office of Food Access.
