Columbus Avenue Repaving

This spring, Public Works Department is planning to repave Columbus Avenue. The repaving will go from Melnea Cass Boulevard to Northampton Street. This presents an opportunity to reorganize the street and provide safety improvements for people walking, biking, and driving.

March 16, 2018 - Public Meeting

March 16 public meeting

On March 16, 2018, we held a public meeting to discuss the upcoming repaving of Columbus Avenue. Northeastern is actively working to complete their work in the area. Once the majority of their work is complete, Public Works will repave the street from Mass. Avenue to Melnea Cass Boulevard. The cobblestone median will be removed. Pavement markings will be changed to provide safety improvements for people who travel down the street.

Learn more about how we're improving Boston's bike lanes. If you have comments or questions about the plan, you may submit them to najah.casimir@boston.gov through Monday, April 30.
