This outdoor event will adhere to all COVID-19 guidelines. The event will be in the Ida B. Graves Yard behind the BCYF Tobin.

The Mayor's Office of Arts and Culture, in partnership with the Boston Art Commission, the Boston Public Library, and Boston Centers for Youth and Families (BCYF), will celebrate the new long-term public art project in Jamaica Plain on November 4 from 4:30 - 6:30 p.m.

The City of Boston commissioned Matthew Hinçman to create the artwork "Wythe & Web" as part of the City's Percent for Art Program. It was installed on the front lawn of the Jamaica Plain Branch and BCYF Curtis Hall.

Art SPARKs, the 2021 SPARK Boston Council's subcommittee at the intersection of art and civics, is pleased to present the Grove Hall Mural Tour. Join us for a (hopefully pleasant) fall day in the Grove Hall neighborhood, where Dorchester and Roxbury meet.

We'll be meeting outside the Grove Hall Branch Library and handing out curatorial guides for groups to do self-guided tours and interact with community members along the route. Come learn more about the City of Boston, public art, and the amazing businesses and community groups in Grove Hall!

We will be at the Mattapan Square Farmers Market (888 Cummins Highway) every Saturday in October from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

SPARK Boston is partnering with Boston Road Runners and Athleta Newbury to celebrate Boston's vibrant running community and this year's historic election by hosting a casual run (and walk if there's interest) to GOTV on Wednesday, October 13, at 5:30 p.m.

Come dressed in red, white, or blue, or a combination of them, or join us in your nonpartisan go vote gear! We'll be taking photos and videos to help spread the GOTV message, going for a fun run around the Charles River, serving refreshments afterwards, and giving away neck gaiters (swag!), thanks to a donation from Hoo-Rag.

Plus, there will be a physical therapist on-site for advice on staying injury-free and GOTV material you can take home to spread the word. If you stick around to shop, Athleta is also offering a 20% discount on one item. Please know you can store personal belongings at Athleta while you're out and about getting your #GOTV on. Masks are also required to be worn in the store.

IMPORTANT: All runners must fill out this participant waiver from Boston Road Runners before you take off.
