We're closing out Black History Month with a celebration of all we have accomplished and what we still need to work on for the future.
Enjoy light refreshments from Soleil Cafe, music from a live DJ along with poetry readings, and a visual art rendering completed on-site.
Sankofa is a phrase that encourages learning from the past to inform the future, reaching back to move forward, and lifting as we climb.
Celebrate Black culture with an evening of music performances, poetry, art, and more! We will have a conversation on the legacy of racism and discrimination that Black Americans have resisted. Attendees will be invited to write intentions for the Black Diaspora in the spirit of Sankofa.
