Residents can apply for the East Boston Community Advisory Board and the Charlestown Community Advisory Board through December 7.

Climate Ready Boston is launching the next phase of neighborhood coastal resilience planning for East Boston and Charlestown. Mayor Walsh and the Climate Ready team are seeking applications for two (East Boston and Charlestown) Community Advisory Boards (CAB) that will help guide the study in both neighborhoods.

CAB members will be key partners in shaping an inclusive planning and design process. In collaboration with the CAB, we hope to create a plan that represents community-supported values that can be carried forward to equitable implementation to reduce flood risk and protect both neighborhoods.

We are seeking active participation from community members who reflect the diversity of backgrounds, interests, lived experiences, and expertise found in East Boston and Charlestown. We welcome all applications. Please note that we have a limited number of seats on the Community Advisory Boards, so we will optimize for diversity and inclusive representation of both neighborhoods.

Residents can apply for the East Boston CAB and the Charlestown CAB through December 7.
