Michael Cannizzo

Boston Art Commission member

Michael Cannizzo is the Deputy Director for Urban Design at the Boston Planning & Development Agency.  The Urban Design Department conducts design review on projects throughout the city.  These projects have a wide range of size from an individual dormer on a single family house to a new lab building.  He has been with the BPDA for the past 18 years.  Prior to working at the BPDA Michael was the Staff Architect for the Boston Landmarks Commission.

Michael is a licensed architect in Massachusetts and a member of the American Institute of Architects.  He has an Undergraduate degree in architecture from the University of Illinois in Champaign/Urbana and a Masters Degree in Architecture from the University of Michigan.
