Improvements to Mary Ellen Welch Greenway

Mary Ellen Welch Greenway is a pedestrian linear open space connecting Jeffries Point Waterfront to Constitution Beach.

The focus of the renovation will be on the City owned section from Porter Street to Marginal Street with the goal to:

  • Reduce storm water and coastal flooding, both near-term and long-term
  • Provide cool spots along the greenway to help mitigation Urban Heat Island
  • Promote tree health

We look forward to further developing the goals with the community during our outreach process.
