Schools shift to all remote learning
Due to a rising COVID-19 infection rate in the City, all Boston Public Schools students will shift to remote learning effective Thursday, October 22.
City department hours
City Hall is open to the public on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. If you need to visit a department, you must make an appointment.

We recognize, engage, and advocate for our veterans and their families, by connecting them with the services and resources they've earned.

Our department oversees the financial assistance program known as Massachusetts General Law Chapter 115. This includes the decoration of veterans' graves and hero squares on Memorial Day. We also carry out commemorative activities related to Boston veterans. To apply for Chapter 115, please complete our form:

M.G.L Chapter 115 benefits

A Veterans Service Officer will be at Harvard Street Center from 1 - 4 p.m. on Tuesdays. On Wednesdays, a Veterans Services Officer will be at Brighton Marine from 9 - 2 p.m. They can help you with any resources you may need, including M.G.L Chapter 115 benefits.
