On Wednesday, September 9, join us for an Adaptive Bike Demo Day on the City Hall Plaza. Adaptive Bike Demo Day is part of larger Try-an-E-Bike Event happening on the plaza.

At the Try an-E-Bike Event you can learn more about different standard e-bike and cargo e-bike brands and models. Several bike shops will be there to answer questions. Attendees can test ride e-bikes (if you are planning to test-ride, please bring your ID). The event is free and open to the public, no registration required.

Whereas Adaptive Bike Demo is opportunity to learn more about adaptive bikes, such as electric handycles, recumbent bikes, tandems, and handcycle wheelchair attachments. Several adaptive bikes will be at the event and available for test-riding as well, see the list below.

Please know that in case of an inclement weather, the larger Try-an-E-bike event will be postponed, but the Adaptive Bike Demo will still take place closer to the third floor entrance of the City Hall Plaza.

Catrike Max

Catrike Max is an e-assist recumbent trike that has a reclined seat, allowing legs to extended forward. Best for riders back, joint, or balance limitations. This specific model is built for stability and strength, this recumbent adaptive bike features a high, wide seat, a reinforced frame, and wide rims to support up to 425 lbs. Equipped with Schwalbe Big Apple tires, a 1x11 SRAM drivetrain, and Catrike Assist Bars for easier entry and exit, it’s designed for comfort and durability.


Top End  Force 3

Top End  Force 3 is an arm-powered cycle that serves best riders with lower-body paralysis or limited leg function. The Force 3 is Bike-On’s most popular entry-level handcycle with versatile capabilities. It comes with wide hybrid tires for road and light trails, an adjustable seat and backrest, 1x10 wide-range gearing, and a disc brake for excellent stopping power.


Maddiline Race X/ Race XE

Maddiline Race X/ Race XE is another model of an arm-powered cycle that serves best riders with lower-body paralysis or limited leg function. The Race X is a versatile handcycle built for both road riding and light off-road trails. Its transfer height and clearance make getting in and out easy while maintaining stability for higher speeds and sharp turns.


Ice Adventure

Ice Adventure is e-assist Recumbent Trike that has a reclined seat, allowing legs to extended forward. Best for riders back, joint, or balance limitations. Higher seating for a more comfortable ride . perfect for both paved riding and light gravel or dirt trails. Available in Rigid frame , rear suspension , or full suspension. Can come in either a 20” or 26” rear wheel configuration. 


AZub Trisek

AZub Trisek is an excellent recumbent adaptive bike designed for smaller riders with no compromises. Its dream padded seat is extremely comfortable, and there is an option of folding or non folding type.


Hase Trigo

Hase Trigo is an entry level delta recumbent trike best for riders back, joint, or balance limitations, or passengers with visual impairment tor disability preventing sustained pedaling. It is extremely adjustable and can fit riders between 4’7 and 6’7 and boasts a weight capacity of 308 pounds. Its simple to adjust with only two clamps to slide the seat fore and aft. When used independently Hase Trigo  serves best best for riders back, joint, or balance limitations. When tandem-ed together with another Hase removing the front wheel, and hitching them together, it becomes a back-to-front tandem. Tandems serve best riders with visual impairment, intellectual disability, or disability that prevents sustained pedaling.

The Public Facilities Commission (PFC) will continue to conduct its meetings virtually and to ensure its public access to its deliberations through adequate, alternative means.
