Parks Fitness: Bota Fogo Dance Fitness Class with Julia
Participate in FREE fitness classes offered by one of our certified instructors. Our classes are a partnership between the Boston Parks and Recreation Department and the Boston Public Health Commission. The series is sponsored by Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts.
BotaFogo, meaning “to set on fire”, is a great workout that combines dance and fitness all in one. Much like other dance fitness programs, it involves cardio and some strength training. Bota Fogo utilizes visual cues making it more accessible to both Deaf and hearing dancers. Come break a sweat to the sounds of Brazilian music genres such as Samba, funk, pagode, and more. The best part is, it doesn’t require previous dance experience! Just follow the instructor and have fun!
Click the link below to sign up for the class on Eventbrite. This will allow you to add it to your calendar and receive updates if there are changes or cancellations due to the weather.
