Healthy Women, Families, and Communities

We focus on the health of residents and protecting communities across the City of Boston. We review services for children, families, and seniors, with a focus on women and girls.

We concern ourselves with the health and well-being of residents, including health and human services and city programs for youth, families, and seniors, with a particular focus on women and girls.

Some of the public health issues we work on include:

  • domestic violence
  • sexual harassment
  • child abuse
  • LGBTQ health
  • hunger, and
  • youth violence.

We hope to work towards a City where everyone feels safe and healthy.

We work on public safety topics affecting women and girls together with the Committee on Public Safety and Criminal Justice.
