DISCOVER Moakley will be a full day of fun with food, beach games, skateboarding, movies, and more! This event is free to the public and family friendly. Explore new recreational activities, learn about resilient landscapes, and discover the potential for Moakley Park. This event is open to individuals of all ages. There will be entertainment for children, activities for adults, and plenty food vendors. Learn about what is being done to make Moakley Park accessible to all of Boston, while enjoying the festivities at the same time! 

The event is a part of Climate Preparedness week, which is from September 24 - 30. Visit the Climate Preparedness week website to learn more.

The event is hosted by the Boston's Parks and Recreation and Greenovate Boston, Save the Harbor/Save the Bay, Boston Harbor Now, The Trust for Public Land, and the Department of Conservation and Recreation. 

The Block Party will feature a performance of Invisible: Imprints of Racism by Anna Meyer & Dancers / beheard.world in conjunction with Tread Stream and Dudley Square's Inner Sanctum. The City of Boston's Office of Housing Stability will be on hand to inform residents about their programs and services.

Stable Ground is an effort to address the complex relationship among chronic housing insecurity, its psychologically traumatic impact, and municipal housing policy through participatory community-based art and culture programming that is structured to inform the work of the City of Boston's Office of Housing Stability.
