Please join the Boston and Revere Project Team for a virtual public meeting to learn more about the project!
The City of Boston and the City of Revere are partnering to design flood protection and recreational improvements along Bennington Street in East Boston and Fredericks Park in Revere. During this meeting, the Boston and Revere Project Team will share background information about the project, present an update about the work we have completed, discuss the design process for flood mitigation, and collect your feedback about recreational opportunities you would like to see in the project area. Spanish and Arabic interpretation will be provided during the meeting.

Our Dorchester Vision Session for the Boston Office of Historic Preservation is scheduled for May 6, 2024, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at The Codman Square Public Library. The meeting will also be held virtually online through Zoom.
Established in 2022, our mission at the Office of Historic Preservation is to safeguard Boston's rich cultural heritage while amplifying the voices of underrepresented Bostonians. Housed within the Environment, Energy, and Open Space Cabinet, our department includes the Boston Landmarks Commission, the City Archaeology Program, and the Commemoration Commission.
Over the next several months the Office of Historic Preservation will continue it's outreach efforts to various neighborhood groups. The presentations aim is to advocate for a new framework showcasing how historic preservation can address some of Boston's pressing challenges in environmental sustainability, social equity, and affordable housing.

On One Boston Day, which falls on the same day as the 128th Boston Marathon, the Stepping Strong Center is joining Mayor Wu and the City of Boston in encouraging acts of kindness through a blood drive and trauma awareness activities.
The Stepping Strong Center’s One Boston Day Blood Drive will be held in Kenmore Square on April 15 at the “One mile to the finish line" mark. For more information or to register for the blood drive, please visit our website. The Stepping Strong Center will also be offering “Stop the Bleed” training to teach the public how to address life-threatening bleeding in an emergency, provide injury prevention resource materials, and allow the public to create cards for trauma patients. One Boston Day recognizes the resiliency, generosity, and strength demonstrated by the people of Boston and those around the world in response to the tragedy of April 15, 2013. Eleven years later, Mayor Michelle Wu and the City of Boston invite community-based organizations, businesses, City workers, and residents to come together for volunteer events and acts of kindness in recognition of our City’s spirit of care for one another in response to the tragic events of April 15, 2013.
