Retirement Board Vacancy

The Boston Retirement Board Trustees are looking to fill the vacant Fifth Member board position. Due to the vacancy, this term will expire on January 15, 2027. To apply, you must respond by sending a cover letter and resume to Timothy J. Smyth, Esquire <timothy.smyth@boston.gov> no later than 5 p.m. on May 1, 2026.

MONTHLY PENSIONS

Monthly pension checks will be mailed on the last Tuesday of the month. Funds for recipients who elected direct deposit will be deposited to accounts on the last Tuesday of the month. We have upcoming dates for when you can expect to receive your retirement check.

When and where

The Boston Retirement Board holds its monthly meetings on either the third or fourth Wednesday of the month.

Our meetings start at 9:00 a.m. The meetings take place in Room 816 of Boston City Hall unless otherwise noted. Please note that during the construction phase meetings will be taking place in different locations. Please refer to upcoming meetings section in our website to see the meeting's location.
