Second annual City of Boston Unity Cup

This soccer tournament will feature sixteen flag-bearing nations competing in a World Cup-style tournament July 12 - 14.

The citywide tournament brings together Boston's diverse community around a shared passion for sport. It is a moment to celebrate the cultures and nationalities of Bostonians in a safe environment that promotes sportsmanship, collaboration and acceptance.

The tournament will be comprised of sixteen flag-bearing nations who will vie for the first annual Unity Cup during the weekend of July 12 - 14 at Moakley Park in South Boston.

FRIDAY, JULY 12

5:45 p.m. - Opening ceremonies begin (Mayor Walsh, Parade of Flags featuring City youth, live performances)
6:30 p.m. - Games kickoff
9:30 p.m. - Tournament Day ends

SATURDAY, JULY 13

9 a.m. - Games kickoff
10 a.m. - Sponsorship activities and vendor attendance on-site
11 a.m. - Resource Fair begins
2 p.m. - Resource Fair concludes
5 p.m. - Sponsorship activities and vendor attendance ends
6 p.m. - Tournament Day ends

SUNDAY, JULY 14

9 a.m.  - Games kickoff
10 a.m. - Sponsorship activities and vendor attendance on-site
12 p.m. - Youth Jamboree presented by the New England Revolution
3 p.m. - Youth Jamboree, sponsorship activities, and vendor attendance ends
3:30 p.m. - Parade of Nations
4 p.m. - Championship matches
5 p.m. - Closing ceremonies begin (trophy presentation, speakers, live performances)

About the event

Represented nations include the United Arab Emirates, Italy, Somalia, Mexico, El Salvador, Angola, Chile, the United States, Guatemala, Vietnam, Haiti, Ireland, France, China, Nigeria, and Brazil.

Festivities kick off with the first round of games on Friday, July 12. Festivities conclude with a Parade of Nations and the final match on Sunday, July 14. Activities for fans and families include youth soccer clinics, giveaways, a FIFA19 play station, ice cream, and more.
