Recent federal policy changes are restricting access to graduate level education for low-income and marginalized communities. New borrowing limits threaten to shut Boston youth out of professions that require advanced degrees such as healthcare, law, and higher education.

Join OYEA and Leadership Brainery, a Boston-based non-profit specializing in equitable access to advanced education, for a special youth policy seminar on this subject. You'll learn about these changes, potential policy solutions, and practical strategies to use when advising young people about graduate education. Whether you work with young people directly, play a role in youth policy, or are a current or prospective graduate student, this session is for you!

Located at the Ross Playground Bike Town in Hyde Park, this three-hour drop-in event is for families and children ages 4-12 who want to learn to ride and practice their riding skills. A variety of different sized bikes and helmets will be provided, and staff will be present to lead on-bike games and teach bike riding skills and safe riding tips and techniques.

There will be food from local restaurants and multiple giveaways to win. Help make an impact within your community and enjoy yourself along the way. Youth will have the opportunity to share their thoughts on important topics such as community safety, resource accessibility, and the civic process.
