This last group ride of the season is in East Boston!

Ride Details: 

  • The ride will start and end at Central Square Park (Liberty Square)
  • We will gather starting at 10:30 a.m. and depart for the ride promptly at 11 a.m.
  • There will be free hot chocolate at the end of the ride!
  • Please dress warmly, with lots of layers

Strength, Balance, and Flexibility is a total body workout with a focus on strengthening the core and limbs while amplifying the body’s movement through stretch, improving overall balance, posture, muscle tone and mobility. By learning how to move the body in a healthy way, one can reduce pain, improve body awareness, avoid injury and reinforce proper movement principles. Class begins in a chair to freely move every part the body and then transitions to standing weight bearing exercise to improve bone and muscle strength.

Our next scheduled Vision Session for the Boston Office of Historic Preservation is scheduled for April 25, 2024, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Hyde Park Library. The meeting will also be held virtually online through Zoom.

Established in 2022, our mission at the Office of Historic Preservation is to safeguard Boston's rich cultural heritage while amplifying the voices of underrepresented Bostonians. Housed within the Environment, Energy, and Open Space Cabinet, our department includes the Boston Landmarks Commission, the City Archaeology Program, and the Commemoration Commission.

Over the next several months the Office of Historic Preservation will continue it's outreach efforts to various neighborhood groups. The presentations aim is to advocate for a new framework showcasing how historic preservation can address some of Boston's pressing challenges in environmental sustainability, social equity, and affordable housing.
