Mayor Wu’s Neighborhood Coffee Hours are a unique opportunity to speak directly with the Mayor and staff from City departments about open space and their neighborhoods. If there are inclement weather conditions, the time and location may change to an indoor location and will be reflected on boston.gov/events.

A neighborhood staple known for bringing the community together over a cup of coffee, Dunkin’ is back to fuel the conversation with iced coffee and donuts. Dunkin’ will also provide lawn game activities for attendees, gift card giveaways, and the opportunity for residents to win a raffle prize. Free flowering plants will be provided by the Boston Parks and Recreation Department and fresh fruit will be provided by Star Market, while supplies last.

This year, we’re hosting the 7th annual National Arts Program Exhibit at the City Hall Galleries to showcase the creativity of the people behind Boston’s public services.

Join us for the gallery reception to meet the artists, explore the art, and find out who will win the juried prizes!

Join us as we explore some of the incredible pieces of art that reflect on our history, the creative landscape of our city, and help make this a dynamic public space.

Get ready for a family-friendly, pedestrian-focused event on Saturday, September 12, 2026, from 10:30 a.m. - 3 p.m. that will transform Blue Hill Avenue in Mattapan, from River Street to Babson Street, into a vibrant, car-free boulevard where people can dream, play, and explore. Open Streets Boston in Mattapan will feature live music, food trucks, kid's activities, and much more!

(All Open Streets Boston events take place from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Streets will be closed to vehicular traffic starting at 9 a.m. and reopen at 4 p.m.
